launches new face motif collection in Tokyo project storeAcne Studios releases the second collection dedicated to the brand’s face motif. To coincide with the launch, the Acne Studios project store in Shibuya, Tokyo is transformed with new interiors exclusive to the face motif collection.

With two small circles and a long rectangle, the face motif was born. Having made occasional cameos within previous Acne Studios’ collections, in 2017 the face motif became the protagonist of its own standalone capsule collection. Fall/Winter 2018 marks the evolution of the line and its exploration of new colourways and product categories.

A carpet runner custom made by Kasthall leads from the entrance into the newly renovated 68m2 store. Inside, garments are presented on freestanding furniture and exible rolling rails. The interior re ects the idea of a home and family, with a warm colour palette of pink, beige, white, burgundy and wood. The space is punctuated by a staircase in burgundy, leading up to the second oor. Wooden furniture is exclusively designed by Max Lamb, a long time Acne Studios collaborator.

Outside the project store, a billboard features the new face motif FW18 campaign photographed by Craig McDean. Pursuing last season’s brand campaign featuring Kordale Lewis and Kaleb Anthony, the new campaign captures the spirit of Tasha Tilberg’s family with her wife Laura Wilson and their six year old twins, Bowie and Gray, at their home in British Columbia, Canada.

The face motif project store opens 31 May on 東京都渋谷区神南1-10-8.
