The Lamborghini Terzo Millennio is a vision of the future.
The Italian supercar giant unveiled a new slice of its futuristic vision by introducing the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio, an electric hypercar concept with some really great ideas that could dictate the pace in the industry.
It’s also the name of the unique project in partnership with MIT that is bringing the concept car to life.
The automotive world is going increasingly electric, to not forget the implementation of AI to support our driving and navigation. The electric supercar will be able to drive itself both on and off the track.
Balancing all this can be tough, though, because Lamborghini can’t appear to be falling behind; after all Lamborghinis are about leaving everyone else in the dirt. Hence, the Terzo Millennio, which translated means Lamborghini of the “third millennium.” “It’s, really, a box that we want to put all that’s necessary” for Lamborghini to eventually compete in a world full of smart electric vehicles, Reggiani says.
Terzo means “third millennium” in Italian, the concept car will utilize specially designed supercapacitors that offer more peak power, regeneration and a limited degradation rate. All the energy produced by the supercapacitors power up the four-wheel drive, four motor setup housed inside the wheels.
The exterior of this beautiful car is made of carbon fiber, very lightweight and also feature self-healing capabilities and serve as spare energy storage.
